The intersex community is diverse, and each intersex person has a different story and lived experience. Intersex people are artists and advocates, innovators and scientists, teachers and community leaders, parents, and family members. While no two intersex people are the same, sadly too many intersex people have experienced common forms of stigma and trauma because of the lack of access to affirming health care and barriers to health equity.
