Each year, TAADAS coordinates visits with members of the Tennessee General Assembly in a “Day on the Hill” event. We meet with legislative leaders in the state House and Senate and lawmakers who champion legislation on and funding for addiction prevention, intervention, treatment, and awareness.
We meet with as many lawmakers as possible to educate them on bills and state funding requests that would benefit our members and those in or seeking recovery.
Our goal as advocates is to be the voice for those in recovery, and legislative outreach and education are key to our success.
